W&H Week of Fun Day 3 & 4

Image
Day 3 was extra special because it was my 22nd birthday! Woo-hoo it's my Taylor Swift year!! Day 3 meant we were driving to Miami to see the Cubs play. Before we got on the road we decided to get Dunkin' for my birthday. Of course I got the usual (medium iced coffee with caramel swirl and milk) plus a peeps donut because why not. However, as we were getting in the car I thought it was a good idea to hold my coffee and open the car door with the same hand. It wasn't a good idea. I dropped the coffee, the cup broke and all my coffee spilled in the parking lot. Thankfully, they made me a new one but still y'all, I am always doing stuff like this. Once we got to Miami we went to a place called Wynwood. From what I gathered it's basically the art district. All the buildings and walls were painted with murals. They had a specific gallery called Wynwood Walls that had all kinds of murals. Of course I took a ton of pictures of all the artwork and of me in front of the a...

W&H Week of Fun Day 1 & 2

Saturday was day 1 of Warnie and Hails Week of Fun. Our plan for the day was to drive down to Atlanta, eat at the Varsity, and go to the Braves game. We were kind of bummed that we wouldn’t have time to do much in the city because we’ve never really been.  We got started at about 7 am. I had to make a few stops before we left because would it really be a trip with me if I had everything I needed before we leave? The answer is no. I always forget to get something that we end up having to go to the store to get. This time I even forgot to buy something that was ON the list (it was sunscreen). But anyways we got my stuff, got some Joe Beans and got on the road. About an hour into the trip we stopped to get some breakfast at Bojangles and when I walked in I saw some of our friends from home that I hadn’t seen in a while. It was funny to see them there of all places.  Once we got on the road we realized that we were going to get to Atlanta about three hours earlier than we...

Planning Warnie and Hails Week of Fun

Image
For those of you that know me, you know that I love traveling around the United States. At 21 years of age I have been to 26 states already. My qualifications for "visiting a state" are buying something and using the bathroom at least once in each state. I will admit a few of the states I counted are states where I just stayed the night in a hotel on the way to another destination, but I met my qualifications so I will count it for now. In addition to visiting the states, my dad and I are trying to visit all the Major League Baseball stadiums. To accomplish this goal of ours we have been taking trips the past couple of years to go to baseball games. I have proclaimed these trips as Warnie and Hails Week of Fun, and let me tell you they are so fun. So far we have been to 15 stadiums together, and we will hit three more on our spring break trip next week. The way the trips generally work are I do majority of the planning and my dad picks the lodging and provides all the fin...
